It is at my doorstep and is my favorite tavern. Not so noisy. People chat with their friends. A very good beer, there is a bit of a sweet beer that suits my special love. I like it too much. The staff are very friendly and the food is just right.
Had an amazing experience here Friday night. We were served by Melinda and she was amazing. Her personality was amazing and added so much more to the normal pub experience were used to. The food was also wonderful. We had the Fish & Chips and the Crispy Chicken. Both were amazing, the fish was fresh fried rather than precooked and frozen and the crispy chicken is easily one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had. Just travelling through so sadly we cant visit often, but Pour House has become a stop for us whenever we come through Toronto in the future. Thank you so much.
I love this bar. I've never had a bad time here with the service being friendly and warm. The beer is well priced and I like the crowd. Haven't really got to try their food but a friend said their chicken sandwich was amazing.
Ok so the good is that the ambience is warm and the staff are friendly. They are the reason that I am not giving this place a really bad review. This is a good place for drinking and sides. It is not a place for foodies. The Zen Bowl and the Straight Up Burger disappointed. The Zen Bowl just tried to do too much with conflicting flavours that were out of balance and competing. The Straight Up Burger was blah... how do you mess up a simple burger?! The bun was just way too much for the patty. While it is a Straight Up burger – meaning that it is basic and minimal – it was lacking the basic fillings. It is the great customer that is preventing this review from being lower. This is a really good place for drinks and sides. It is not someplace that you want to go if you are a foodie.
The atmosphere was fantastic loved the lighting and the tables all over seat yourself was a little intimidating. The waitress took forever to take food order also took forever for her to bring drinks.I ordered the fish and chips the portions where fair size the chicken wings I found pricey and not a lot of flavours to choose from. The sticky toffee cake was not the best I have had. Would go back again but note to self go to bathroom before you go . I have never been to such a worst design in bathroom design you can’t get in the bathroom. I feel sorry for any one that is a little heavy you because you can not fit in the bathrooms. Not wheelchair accessible.
I’ve gone to this place twice while visiting Toronto - once in 2016 and again in 2019. I have to admit I had a better time in 2016. It was later at night and we had the whole bar to ourselves. The decor is very nice and certainly a lot of drink options. The second time we went in late 2019 - the place was absolutely packed. We were seated pretty quickly in kinda an awkward spot at the front of the restaurant. We only stayed for one drink though since we only saw the waitress enough to get a single drink and by the time she came back - we were long finished with our drinks and just ready to get out of there. Good place to go to but only if it’s not crowded.
I always love a place with a good variety of seating options! That and the wine list makes this an easy place to come back to if you’re in the area and want a comfortable but nice venue.
Great service, great prices. Nice renovated venue. I had the $10 burger and fry Monday special and it was delish.
Great vibe. Service is always good. The burgers are delicious.
I had lunch here. The burger was fantastic and the quality seemed to be really good. However, what stood out from our visit was definitely our server who was one of the most bubbly and friendly servers that I have experienced. She definitely contributes to make the whole place more inviting and homely. The setting of the pub was extremely cute and rustic, definitely welcoming. I will definitely be visiting this place again and I would recommend to visit too if you are in the area.
Came with some friends after visiting Casa Loma's Christmas event. Agree with a previous reviewer that the place is seat yourself but intimidating, we did not feel that in the slightest. The wait staff were pleasant and a perfect combination of conversational and yet let us have our evening. When the staff enjoy working a place, it comes through and we will be back. The food was fun - a wide variety of choices and each of the 3 items recommended were ordered by at least one of us or shared and all good suggestions. While we shared a bottle of red wine, note there is a fine choice of other bevvies.
Very delicious food, great staff, and amazing atmosphere. Food is reasonably priced.Definitely try the chicken pot pie
A cute little place to grab a drink. The burger was bland, so I'd stick with drinks. But servers were fantastic and very accommodating for our large group.
My husband and I went to the Pourhouse on Monday Dec. 30th and really enjoyed the burger and fries special. The bun on the burger was amazing! We got great service and a cozy seat at the front. We will be back for sure. Thanks!
Walking into this place for the second time in my time in Toronto is making me think this place has issues with certain customers.Well let's just say this time I was told " Sorry the kitchen just closed you can go to The Food Depot". Yeah that was from the waitress. How inviting 😠. I'll stick to the high end late nite city spots. Just trying to share the love of being in the city. Knowing that they might have better food and ambience. Must say the DJ was playing some nice music. Oh well I guess because I did not look pour they did not want me in their house.🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔.
Love this place, great beer, great food, great service... They have a deal for every day of the week, on Mondays you can get a burger with fries for $10, it is awesome.
If you want the best Fish n' chips you can get, go here.
Tasty Zen Bowl! I had the steak and it was not good.
So overall it was a decent experience, but I left quite unsatisfied with my visit tonight. The venue itself is very fun. The decor is great. It was decently clean for a busy place on a Saturday night. The waiter was friendly enough too. I was mostly disappointed by the cost of what we got. We ordered food, and it was terribly overpriced and moderately good at best. We ordered an app, and I actually had to ask if it was a side or the app version because it was so small. The waiter made no attempt to rectify the situation. I was in shock by the tiny size of the portions for the cost. Then, after specifically asking about the cost of a side, and being told it was included, it was charged as an additional cost. I actually left hungry and paid too much. I would not recommend this venue for a dinner event, but for a night out with friends it could be good.
It's was alright, food was pretty good. Fairly priced id come back.
Tucked away at the top of the Annex, woodsy decor, a variety of spaces and nice staff. A bit noisy inside. Summer outdoor patio is wonderful, unless the occasional train scares you.
This is a very hip bar and surprisingly big. We stopped in for a drink while waiting for a table at Rose and Sons and built our own caesars, I'd recommend checking this place out if you're looking for something trendy.
Came here for a pint after playing the escape game at Casa Loma. Front door looks small but when you walk in wow it's actually pretty big because it's long and also the patio is located all the way to the rear through what looks like an emergency exit. The patio is nice but get loud as the train runs in the back other than that not bad. We only had beers so can't say anything about the food. As for the drinks it looks like there are specials through out the week and yesterday they were pouring rolling rock for $11 you get 32oz of it. They also offer flights which you can select your own beers off their menu.Cool spot and inside was pretty busy already for only being around 4pm.
Food was good, service was good. Wasn't exceptional but still good. Worth a visit if you want to try a new restaurant in the area but not worth going out of your wsy to visit.
Nice ambience. Honey garlic wings were delicious. Hubby liked the Shepherd's pie and Amber ale. Nice selection of craft beers.
Went to this pub for a party Friday. We had a group of 13 and was impressed with the waitress and how she handled the big group. They had great beer specials less than $5 a pint. I tried the Moscow Mule which was in its traditional cup and was very good. As for food we had a ton of different things. There was a giant pretzel and tater tots which were good. Pouting and fish and chips were a favourite of the table as well. There was nachos and calamari and a few burgers as well. If you’re looking for a nice atmosphere and reasonably priced food this is definitely worth a visit.
Came here the other night to watch the leafs game and had such a great times. The place looks very deceiving as it seems like it would be really small but it’s actually a HUGE place with a few patios. The food was super tasty and the prices were reasonable . We tried the nachos, Cobb salad, buffalo chicken wings, honey garlic chicken wings and fish and chips. Overall, we loved the atmosphere and had a fantastic time.
Have not been here for several years. Service is still amazing. But remodel from a cozy pub to what it is now left me disappointed. It was cold and drafty. Food arrived cold, burger was bland and toppings were scarce. Poutine was so cold I sent it back, returned marginally better.... but fries left out and put under salamander to reheat is not what I expect
Good pub in the 'Dupont by the Castle' neighbourhood, steps from Dupont subway station. The food is good and there is a lot of sitting options. Nice and warm decor. They have a two level patio which I'm sure it's a great spot in the summer.
We had starters. The calamari was so good. But service was kinda off. It wasn't too crowded but our drinks took way too long to come and all we ordered was pop. The ambience was nice though.
Nice cozy restaurant with modern decor and delicious food. We were a group of 7 and tried a bunch of appetizers (the buffalo cauliflower is amazing). They offer a good mix of meat, vegetarioan, and fish choices for mains. The zen bowl with salmon was very flavourful and unlike regular pub. Service is great as well.
This place is actually cool. Like, real cool. The atmosphere is so interesting - video game tables and lounge chairs, and little nook-style table settings make for a vibe unlike any I've seen yet. I had a gift card for this place from a co-worker, and was not disappointed! The food is really good - small-ish menu, like an elevated pub food. Nachos were amazing with a huge glob of Avocado, and Steak and Frites was perfection. My server was also wonderful - can't remember his name, but my Mom thought he was lovely! Definitely will come back here again!
The waiter Fabio was really nice, and had to walk up and down the stairs to deal with our party on the upstairs patio. The upstairs patio is beautiful and a nice little spot. I had the chicken pot pie, which was tasty but had too many potatoes in it (filler). The drinks, especially the sangria, felt very watered down. I think the atmosphere and staff makes it worth the 5 star rating, I would return here or host an event here with confidence.
Nice vibe in part of a Victorian house. Great menu selection and service. Lots of space to accommodate for larger group. All the meat are good. Recommend the ribs and steak, as well the masala calamari or nachos for appetizer were quite well done.
Big fan of this family of bars. I live close to Dominion so I was delighted to see that this bar is owned by the same people. They do an excellent job of tying them together so that you can identify them as a brand, while still giving each location it's own flavour. The atmosphere is similar to Dominion, but a little more crammed and bustling than the spacious, relaxed space I'm used to. Fantastic beer and food specials week-round. Service was super friendly.
Nice fancy looks like place, with very friendly prices on drinks 👌🏻... 5$ beer is great! They have veggie option to eat and some other things. We had nachos to share farely big! And had some beers... love the variaty that they have... they have also non alcoholic drinks, we had a watermelon lemonade, good.Different sitting areas and best part is that you sit yourself and you don’t have to wait until someone sit you wherever they want Big place, not so crowd since it has everyone spread in different areas. Service is very good they are always around to check on you... Highly recommended!
Great place to go meet friends they have daily specials of food every day is great and drinks
We had a great time celebrating a birthday at the recently renovated Pour House. Solid pub fare, good selection of draft beers and good service. Great spot with a neighbourhood feeling.
Our order for drinks and food was taken quickly and the food was delicious and nice and hot. The fries were amazing!!
I went with friends and the food and drinks selection was pretty good. The environment was nice and enjoyable.
Visited on a weekend afternoon with some friends and noticed that it was appointed and lit very tastefully. The patio is fantastic; secluded and cozy and the service is friendly and prompt. Definitely recommend.
We were a large group and the server was fast and efficient. I had Thai curry bowl and it was delicious. Cesrs were great but not enough ice - that is my only complaint!
Food is good. Cozy patio with great ambience. The bees circling you and your food are scary.
Just a lovely little pub, great food and service and free lollipops
Great place! Atmosphere is great, food is always perfect and staff are helpful!
Really cool atmosphere/aesthetic, very great food. Especially love their brunch menu.
Pour House used to be a second home for us, we'd often end up there several nights a week. Great drink specials and best patio on Dupont, but drink and food prices keep rising. We visit less than a few times a month now
Was visiting from out of town and stopped by for supper. Loved the atmosphere as soon as we walked in. Was greeted right away from the very friendly staff. Our order for drinks and food was taken quickly and the food was delicious and nice and hot. The fries were amazing!! The manager Danika popped by our table to make sure everything was ok and chatted with us for a bit. Will definitely be recommending this place to my friends who live around here and any friends that visit.
Use to frequent this establishment when I lived in the area. Calamari and nachos are good. Prices for the quality is a bit too high. Friday’s there use to be a Dj before covid. Played top 40 which was nice to bop your head to while you try to block out the annoying college kids that would yell and scream after drinking a few Molson beers. Downfall: Hope you don't have to take a dump after you eat. The washroom is a very tight quarter and when you tilt to wipe, the toilet isn't fastened to the ground... it tilts with you while you smack your forehead against the stale door. Overall, it's a great place to eat for the area.
Food was trying to be everything but good. I guess they have never heard of the K.I.S.S. Principle. It also was over priced by alot.Beer selection was limited. However the staff was very accommodating.
